Mitzvah Event Planning Services

Design & Decor: From the lighting and seating plan to the props and centerpieces – and everything in between – you’ll collaborate with our event designer to prepare your bar or bat mitzvah aesthetic that will look great in photos and that guests will remember. We don’t believe in cookie-cutter decorations and repeating the same event design over and over. We want your own event to be unique to fit each child’s personality, style and preferences.

Theme Development: At Perfectly Planned by Shari, we love working with a theme – it gets our creative juices flowing and sparks some really fun ideas. However, it’s fine if you don’t want your party to have one – or want to wait before committing to one. Kids’ interests can change throughout the timeline of the party-planning process, and some families agree that pinpointing a specific theme too early may be risky if children change their mind. Our team can work with a child’s favorite colors, pop culture references and personal interests and hobbies that will have more longevity so they will be featured elements they are more likely to still love by the time the date of the ceremony and reception arrive. 

Branding & Logo Design: Another way to help your child’s bar or bat mitzvah stand out in a unique way is by designing a own logo or branded concept. This can be inspired by favorite colors, a theme and/or hobbies and can be incorporated into stationery, print materials and the decorations to brand a mitzvah. 

Entertainment & Activities: Whether you want a DJ with dancing or arcade games and photo booths (or all of the above!), your event planner knows how to find festivities that will delight kids and adults. We also can help ensure your party has a seamless and appropriate flow to it. An important role is the emcee, or the person who gets guests out on the dance floor, leads the games and builds the energy in the room. We also keep in mind that not all kids are the same, and, therefore, they may have different wants, needs and comfort levels than others when they attend a party. We determine how to select entertainment accordingly.

Venue Selection: We can work with a venue you’ve already secured or help you to research and decide on one to book. If you don’t already have a venue, we’re pros at looking at the value of your desired venue to make sure it’s clear what you’re getting with your rental fee vs. what we’ll still need to bring in from other vendors. Let us aid you in making a wise, calculated decision on where to hold your bar mitzvah celebration because it can have a big impact on your overall spending and guest experience. 

Catering Services & Menu Planning: Food and beverages are likely to be one of your largest event expenses, so we thoughtfully find caterers that align with your tastes and dietary needs. We’ll assist with selecting and contracting the caterer, along with planning the menu for adults and kids. We also help with specialty dessert stations and candy displays. 

Budget Development: A first step in our process is to organize and prioritize elements of your event. We’ll categorize expected costs to determine how each fits within a targeted overall budget. We’ll help you to best determine how and where to allocate money in an organized, thoughtful manner. 

Stationery & Print Materials: Save the date cards, invitations, reply cards, menus, programs and place cards all work together to communicate a party theme and get guests excited to celebrate. Perfectly Planned by Shari can work with you to craft the appropriate wording and guide you through the proofing and printing process. After the big day, they can serve as mementos.
