#MazelTov: The Ace Hotel Pittsburgh in East Liberty, was hit with a jolt of youthful energy on March 5 as kids and families alike flooded the gym and channeled their inner party animals in the second floor ballroom for Pittsburgh’s first ever Mitzvah Bash. The event presented an array of vendors, entertainment acts and decor that can be used during your kid’s next big bash. “The concept was to bring a variety of vendors together in a way where guests could see, hear, feel and taste the experience of a bar/ bat mitzvah and find inspiration for their own parties,” said event producer and designer Shari Zatman of Perfectly Planned by Shari, who co-produced the event with Theresa Kaufman of Eventful Event Producers. And a sensory experience it was! A custom-designed colorful candy bar from All Occasions/ Marbella filled with candy from Grandpa Joe’s candy revved up the kids before they hit the dance floor with A-Z entertainment amped up with a splashy glittering backdrop courtesy of Thommy Conroy. Parents and kids alike could enjoy “cocktails,” such as virgin mojitos from Ace and nibbles from Deena’s Dishes, specializing in creative kosher meals while enjoying fun magic tricks by Steve Haberman. Upstairs in the ballroom, Club Mitzvah raged on with a DJ, courtesy of Glyde Productions, while others played interactive Wii games, Hoops 2 Go and checked out a customizable photobooth from ELF Entertainment. L’chaim!
