Ryan and Hila were married on September 1, 2013 at the Pittsburgh Field Club. Following a brief strong rain that moved in while setting up the outdoor ceremony, we were able to continue our efforts, dry everything off and proceed as planned with the ceremony on the outdoor patio. Hens & Chicks designed and constructed a beautiful chuppah of tall birch as support poles, white gauzy fabric draped in asymmetrical swags and adorned with large floral clusters.
A guitar duo by from Steven Vance Strolling Violins played for prelude, ceremony and cocktails. The bridal party processional was an instrumental version of an Allman Brothers tune. Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail reception in both the club’s living room and on the outdoor patio.
Following cocktails, guests moved to the ballroom where DJ Spyderman got everyone dancing from the start before welcoming the new bride and groom. It was a high energy dance crowd. The palate of the reception was neutrals of platinum, silver, gold and ivory with linens by Mosaic set off by bold colors of burgundy, orange, green in the truly breathtaking fresh floral centerpieces.
The speeches were very personal and reflected the warmth and love of both families. Many guests travelled from afar including most of the bride’s family who travelled from Israel to be there for the wedding. The groom’s brother, Michael, who is a professional musician in the LA band 28 North, serenaded Ryan and Hila with a song following his speech.
Guests dined at dinner stations including Middle Eastern and Asian selections and carved meats. Everyone especially enjoyed the chocolate hazelnut filled wedding cake and sweets table provided by BellaChristie Sweet Boutique. Guests were able to take desserts home with them in gable boxes to enjoy later as well.
